Get your festival fill in the Amalfi next summer...
We all know the Amalfi Coast is a glittering gem in Italy's crown and is a popular haunt among the rich and famous. So why not charter a boat there next summer and while you're there soak up some of the fantastic cultural festivities on offer throughout June, July and August at the Ravello Festival.
What is it?
The Ravello Festival - In a word 'InCanto' meaning enchantment or under a spell. This is the Italian description for the Ravello Festival. It is full of mystery, romance, culture and Italian delights. The festival is a celebration of musical performances, theatre, ballet and much more all set against the stunning backdrop of the Amalfi Coast.
Each year the festival has a different theme and whilst next years has not been announced yet, this year at the 62nd Ravello festival it was Tristan and Isolde, the romantic heroes who were brought together by fate who were celebrated. You'll see a variety of different performances ranging from symphony and chamber music orchestras, eminent conductors, illustrious soloists, opera singers, pop singers, composers, dancers and choreographers, & actors and directors.
When is it?
The festival runs from the End of June until the Beginning of September with events throughout. Nearer the time a full schedule will be announced via their official website. With around 15 performances of different varieties thoroughout July and August there'll be plenty to see.
