The small town of Porto Cristo is situated on the eastern coast of Mallorca and like many of the east coast towns, Porto Cristo boasts a lovely white sand beach. Due to larger resorts in the area, Porto Cristo has been affected much less by mass tourism and has kept a large amount of its charm.
If you’re looking for a trendy bar or a lively nightclub, then Porto Cristo isn’t for you. However, the small town offers a tranquil atmosphere where you can lie on the beach and drink a cold beer without being disturbed.
The main attractions are two cave complexes called “Coves del Drach and Coves dels Hams.” Like much of the east coast, these caves offer a mind-blowing experience of Mallorca’s natural beauty and are well worth a visit.
The port is also a great gateway to Mallorca’s second largest town, Manacor. This town was the birth place of the international famous tennis player Rafa Nadal.
There is a charming café called La Magrana Café that serves authentic local food. You can sit outside on the terrace and look across the church and take in this charming little town and all that comes with it.
