Palma de Mallorca is the largest city in the Balearics and boasts a wealth of culture, buzzing shops and an endless selection of bars and restaurants.
Take a long walk through the old town and visit the gothic cathedral of Santa Maria, an iconic religious building designed by Antoni Gaudi. The tree lined Born offers a selection of shops and restaurants and is a favourite to locals. In the evening grab a cold caña (beer) at La Lonja bar and watch the city come to life.
For the foodies amongst you, visit Santa Catalina and be wined and dined at incredible restaurants such as Koh and Patron Lunares. If you’re looking for something more traditional then visit Café Antiquari for a Spanish feast.
It’s well worth taking a walk up to Castel de Bellver, a 14th Century castle, which offers panoramic views over the city. Leave an hour from the town centre to get to the top.
If night life is what you’re looking for, head down the Placeo to Pacha and dance and drink the night away in this world-famous club.
