Mongonisi

Mongonisi is a very small island linked to Paxos by a small causeway flanked by a sandy beach. The bay is very popular with boats who can find shelter here from the wind. The beach is lovely and great for children, with beautiful clear blue calm waters.

You will also find old stone ruins of numerous chapels near the port which are really interesting to see. These can also be found all over Paxos island.

There is one main taverna at the port and it is situated right on the beach with the tables set out in the tree shaded garden. This is a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a beer or two. You will also find that the taverna can become quite lively into the night with entertainment often provided.
